Independence Day

On July 4th, we celebrate our nation's Independence from Great Britain. Two hundred forty five years ago,  our forefathers wrote the Declaration of Independence stating, "We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal,  that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. "

The Bible states in Psalms 33:12, "Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord."

Our Nation has been blessed by God and we as a people need to remember our nation in our daily prayers, to ask God to guide our leaders in their decision making and establishment of laws, to keep our nation safe and free, and to abolish all tyranny against it.  

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God says to his people, " Then if my people, ( we Christians are his people) who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land."

We thank God for our nation, and for the God fearing men who established this nation and it's laws.  May we in turn follow our laws, pray for God's  guidance and ask for forgiveness when we fail. Let us never take for granted the lives lost that fought for this great land, to protect its freedoms.

God has blessed us, let us thank Him.

Dear Heavenly Father,  we thank you for these United States. May we always looks you for guidance,  may we never stray from you, please be with this nation always.  We need you our Father, may we always seek your face,  may we humble ourselves  before you and pray, and Lord we turn from our wicked ways to please you.  Heal our land Lord we pray,  I Jesus name.  Amen
