June 2026 Newsletter

Dear Friends,
Can you believe summer is here already? This is the season when we see the fruit of seeds planted during the spring, and it is glorious to watch God’s creation at work to sustain us!

May was a wonderful month where we celebrated Moms, graduates, and the Pentecost gift of the Holy Spirit! We also began our weekly Bible study! In our first week I gave an overview about how to study the different genres of the Bible, and we decided as a group to begin our specific studies on the Book of Genesis. So far we have covered the two creation stories, the theology behind “original sin” — per Adam and Eve’s eating of the tree of knowledge, and this Wednesday we will study the story of Cain and Abel. If you have not yet attended, we would love to see you! It meets at 6:30 p.m. every week in the conference room.

In the month of June we will celebrate Dads as well as the continuing study of the Spirit’s Wisdom via the last two chapters of James, and our Congregational Life committee will provide us with a tasty cookout the last Sunday of June to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday!

Don’t forget that we begin our new year-round worship time of 10:30 a.m. on May 31st!

May you stay cool, and always open to the leading of the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit!

                                                                                  Shalom,
                                                                                        Pastor Amie
