Thank you for joining us for our on-line service. This is a parred down part of our normal Worship Services, but we pray they will bring you the love of God surrounding you, and peace as you need it. All of the links will be ready to open on Saturday morning, May 16, 2020.
To begin our worship, we ask that you begin by repeating the following Call to Worship words: “Bless the Lord, O people, sing! Let the sound of praise ring out. Come and hear what the Lord has done, the Lord who has made everything!”
Now please click on the link for our first song played by Sarah Scovel, organist: “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise)” (click link for music) https://youtu.be/Of1iTLhQimM
Next we ask that you recite our Call to Confession: “Brother and sisters, God not only asks us to repent, but also assures us of forgiveness. Therefore, let us confess our sins to the one who is steadfast love,” followed by the following prayer “Loving God, we do not always keep your commandments; we fail to love you; our
conscience is not clear. Wash us in the water of life that we may live again through the grace and mercy of Jesus, our resurrected Savior.”
Now is the time that we ask that you read Acts 17:22-31 from your Bible.
At this time, you are asked to click on the link below which contains a solo performance by Mr. Warren Townsend singing “Jesus Loves Me, with O, How He Loves You and Me,” composed by William B. Bradbury, words by Susan Warner'; pianist is Sarah Scovel. Immediately following the solo you will listen to Pastor John’s Epistle Lesson from 1 Peter 3:8-17 and his sermon entitled “What’s Your Story?” and our 2nd Hymn, “Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart!.” # 804, verses 1 through 4.

After you have listened and sang our second hymn, we ask that you have a time of prayer. During this prayer time we ask that you say a prayer for the Orthodox and Coptic churches; the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas, for the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and other prayers that you need lifted up to the Lord. Please consider reciting this prayer after: “O loving God, we give you thanks that you have placed in the hearts of your faithful people the gift of generosity and the desire to keep your commands. Bless these gifts and use them to reveal to all peoples your love in Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ name who taught us to pray, saying, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.”
Our last hymn is “To God Be the Glory” After the song is over, continue to listen to enjoy a Benediction sung by Lisa Paige. Click this link: https://youtu.be/K4seCsIMW1w
